EPD Insulation Group, distributers to Builders Merchants and the Screeding, Drylining and Roofing industries continue striking a deal with successful young Golf player Harry Burgess.
Harry, who is just 10 years old, only started playing at the beginning of lockdown and he’s already currently 3rd on the order of merit for the under 12 National Tour. Additionally, he has qualified for the St Andrews Championship and will compete for three days at Fairmont St Andrews this August.
The EPD Insulation sponsorship is allowing him to get professional coaching and enter tournaments around the country, as well as abroad, in places like Villamoura, Portugal.
Harry also represents Cambridgeshire Under 12’s and has played matches against Northamptonshire and Essex this year picking up vital points on the way. His aim is to be playing off single figures by the time he is 11.
Lots of credit needs to go to Matt Leach (Coach), Natalie Clark and Robert Rock (European Tour Pro) for providing amazing opportunities for Harry and other elite juniors.
Phil Burgess, Harry’s dad, has been so inspired by the opportunities golf has presented his son, he has now set up a Junior Golf Academy based out of St Ives (Hunts) Golf Club to provide all children in Cambridgeshire and beyond with affordable opportunities to learn and play golf.
