EPD Insulation Group always encourages team building ideas and events, both inside and outside of the working week.
Recently, Transport Manager, Chris Pratt, organised a Skydive as part of a ‘send-off’ celebration for his friend and colleague Lewis Simpson. Asked why he organised the event Chris said “Having completed a Skydive before I knew it would be a super-exciting experience for some of the team. Apart from a great way of over-coming fears it is a great bonding mechanism.”
Lewis has just changed direction within EPD and has moved from the Transport section to the Sales section. Lewis said “This has always been on my bucket list and now I’m proud to say that I’ve done it!”
Another participant was Gintare Deksniene, Assistant Transport Manager, who had a distinct fear of both heights and flying! After calming down from the experience Gintare said “I am so proud of myself for actually completing this skydive. Being terrified of flying and heights has always been my biggest fear. I surprised myself by actually jumping from the (Very small) plane. I wouldn’t have been able to complete the jump without the support from my co-workers.”
Asked if he’d organise more events like this in the future, Chris said “Team Building is a key part of the working life at EPD Insulation Group. There must be a balance between working hard and enjoying ourselves as a team. Team building events bring us all together and make us stronger as a team.”
