About Us

Award-winning EPD Insulation Group is a proud, family-run, independent wholesaler for insulation; building materials; screeding; and drylining industries.

Established in 2011 – founded by Stephen Boon – the company started in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. With Stephen Boon (Chairman and Founder), Jessica Brown (Director), and Tony Brown (Managing Director) at the helm, the company has grown at a rapid rate; with approximately 150 employees and 60 delivery vehicles to date.

The founders – and including the newly appointed Board of Directors – encompass EPD’s three most core values throughout the organisation: trust, integrity, and service. EPD Insulation Group prides itself on: exceptional customer care; next-day deliveries; and noteworthy staff well-being practices.

EPD Insulation Group covers all points from Manchester in the North, Bristol in the West, Southampton in the South, to Great Yarmouth in the East. Supplying stock to a wide group of industries such as: builders merchants; drywall contractors; screed contractors; façade contractors; the roofing industry; and many more.

EPD Insulation Group services current customers from a large central distribution hub, based in Peterborough.

The high level of service offered is due to having highly skilled team members, and a large – and diverse – fleet of delivery vehicles with the latest state-of-the-art digital delivery system. This includes articulated vehicles with Moffett offload; curtain-sided rigid vehicles with Moffett offload; flatbed rigid vehicles with Moffett offload; and flatbed sprinter vans. In combination with this, EPD Insulation Group is FORS Gold accredited; which enables the company to supply to sites of all shapes and sizes – without restrictions – to ensure support to customers in every circumstance.

With its large stock holding in excess of £3.5million – and the large delivery radius – EPD are able to supply stock items from their warehouses on a next-day basis if required. Additionally, they have invested in a brand-new digital delivery system, which ensures you are able to track your order in real time via your phone or email.

Working with Industry Leaders

EPD work with some of the biggest and most established brands in the industry, including: Kingspan; Rockwool; Ecotherm; Mannok; URSA; Superglass; Recticel; Hadley Group; Jablite; and Libra Systems. As well as insulation, they supply other vital products such as: plywood; timber and fixings; as well as being one of the largest independent importers of Plasterboard to the UK. Making sure all of this runs like a well-oiled machine, they have a friendly and approachable sales team who offer a knowledgeable, efficient, and effective service.

Meet The Team

Our team has a wide variety of experience, from ex-Drivers (with over 20 years on the road) to ex-Warehouse Managers. Our company ethos is to promote from within; our Logistics Manager was our very first driver. The  ethos created helped EPD create a fleet of 50 skilled drivers.

Our team has an excellent rapport with suppliers, customers, and site contacts, with whom we liaise with on a regular basis. We take pride on being able to give personal service.

We also take onboard any ideas from every team member; from our delivery drivers out on the road to office departments to enable us to  keep improving.

EPD Insulation Group CSR Statement

EPD Insulation Group is a distribution company based on people and relationships. Our Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR, is heart-felt and a genuine drive to be better. Giant corporations have whole departments looking after CSR but even as an SME, we try and support equality, diversity, and social and environmental causes wherever and whenever we can.

Our Aims

    We’re trying to reduce waste and recycle what waste we produce; Our recycling is outsourced but can be tracked through third party partners.

  • Reducing Emissions & Improving Safety

    We have invested heavily in transport software which reduces emissions, increases driver safety, and reduces our carbon footprint.

  • Respect, Empathy, Progression

    Our staff policies encourage respect, empathy and personal progress including remunerations on the higher end of national pay scales.

  • Working With Local & National Causes

    We have a sense of responsibility and concern for the problems and injustices of society and help with many local and national causes such as the NHS, youth sport and vulnerable families.
